A rivalry with the Washington Huskies?

Love the post. Might quibble with fan base much like our own. They have a much larger and more invested fan base than the Gophers. They are kinda the best proof point that the whole, “Oh the Gophers are competing with other sports” argument is BS

Big Ten QB Power Rankings: Post-spring tiers for every B1G QB room (Very worrisome: Minnesota (Drake Lindsey))

Just as long as we can all agree right now that even if Athan beats the wheels off him this fall, it doesn’t mean that bringing in competition last year was a bad idea. I’m okay watching a struggling freshman QB this year.

P.J. Fleck gets a new contract extension—pending approval from Board of Regents—keeping him under contract until 2030.

Also, the food at Gopher football games is pretty good. Especially with the plaza they added a few years ago.

P.J. Fleck gets a new contract extension—pending approval from Board of Regents—keeping him under contract until 2030.

He’s still underpaid but step in the right direction. Strib doing their normal rage bait BS: P.J. Fleck gets contract extension while Gophers athletic department anticipates budget deficit They should really be honest and just rebrand themselves as a tabloid.

    2024-25 Gopher Hockey Season

If you don't have a goalie then you don't have a team. Doesn't matter how good you are if the refs spot the other team two goals in the third period. I can get past the tripping call. Can't get past that goalie change.

    2024-25 Gopher Hockey Season

That was the worst-reffed game of college hockey I've seen and I watch a lot of college hockey. I would have respected Motzko more if he had thrown a cooler on the ice. It's one thing to keep composure. It's another thing to put absolutely no pressure on the refs. He should have been screaming...

What was your favorite Patrick Reusse moment?

And one more thing while it’s on my mind, he pronounces his own last name wrong. And it translates to Russian so clearly he is the bad guy.

What was your favorite Patrick Reusse moment?

You’re in a Gopher football forum and you don’t understand why people hate the guy that used the Strib to suggest cutting funding to Gopher Football? I will never let that go. Same reason I refuse to subscribe to the Strib now. Would love to see that paper crash and burn.

What was your favorite Patrick Reusse moment?

Broadly He's vitriolic and he has been since I became a Gopher fan He doesn't write anything worth reading He writes columns that are high-minded, but add nothing to broader discourse For example, he's not a good enough writer, nor does he work hard enough, to add something unique to the...

What was your favorite Patrick Reusse moment?

I -hate- Ruesse. Like hate him. Don’t for one second believe that this is as bad as it looks and he shouldn’t have deleted his account. If you tweet out every thought you have, especially as an old out of touch man, then some of them are going to land poorly. He deserves benefit of doubt.

B1G soliciting preliminary bids from private equity firms

Anyone hiring an investment bank to try to sell their football league is going to get setup by that investment bank to make a life changing amount of money in the exit. This isn’t the B1G hedging, it’s a small group of people trying to make themselves rich. Fire them and anyone connected to...

Max Brosmer 2025 NFL Draft: Scouting Report For Minnesota Golden Gophers QB

Profile makes sense. Thought it was funny that nobody was complaining about his arm strength this year. For all people complained about Tanner’s arm strength, he threw downfield far more often than Brosmer did this year

Dep't of Education says Revenue-sharing should be subject to Title IX

This is a lie. The University of Minnesota does not provide financial support to its athletics programs so the program has to be self-sustaining. The Gophers football team turned a profit of 43.3 million last year which was the primary source of funding covering 4M in losses for women's...

Dep't of Education says Revenue-sharing should be subject to Title IX

No, because to be ‘more’ profitable they have to be profitable in the first place and they’re not. Minnesota could have kept Hetherman if they weren’t burning $5M per year on the lady Gophers. They are taking football fan money and giving it to other programs while not putting the best possible...

Dep't of Education says Revenue-sharing should be subject to Title IX

Minnesota women’s basketball lost $4.1M last year and $5M in 2023.
