Know you guys hate the advanced stats, but even those have Minnesota as the second best team in the B1G West. No reason the Gophers can't win division this year. Just like there was no reason last year.
If PJ sticks around then it's going to happen eventually.
Jefferson should have set the rookie receiving record last year. Theilen was still a top-tier threat. The depth behind those two was solid.
Johnson wouldn't be a good addition to the Vikings roster and I'm sure he would be a massive distraction given his, "I'm a God in Minneapolis" Instagram...
It has been awesome to watch how much MSM and Nubin have improved. Both of them started their careers as liabilities. Defense is being coached well.
I would throw Bucky and Wright on this list as dark horses. Wright looks like a capital-A athlete and Bucky may be one of the B1G's leading...
How many guys do you know with his rolodex? Ridiculous comment. Of course anyone in this forum would take that job in a heartbeat. None of us would run a successful athletics department.
I had a similar level of optimism around Mo's ability to return but Cam Akers has been playing well in the post-season after a similar injury. Sounds like it's an easy surgery to mess up, but at least now there's a NFL comp he can look to.
Apparently surgeons compare Achilles surgery to sewing...
Would lock down DC, Raliegh, and Charlotte. Might even open up Atlanta. Think going north is less attractive and requires adding two private schools in Syracuse and BC. I also think PSU already does a good enough job of carrying Boston.
That would be a great sign except that Tyler Johnson was the #2 WR on that roster for the last month of the season. He wasn't the "third option" on that offense. He was supposed to be their possession receiver.
PFF has him 117 out of 125 graded wide receivers. He'll be lucky to make a practice squad after next season. If Godwin moves on then they will find another option to replace him because Johnson failed his tryout.
He was already a starter. He's not 'starting' for the first time next year. He was Brady's WR2 as soon as Godwin went down. I would be shocked if they don't find another option in the slot next year and let Johnson's contract run out after that.
