I wasn’t expecting to see Tim Tebow’s name on the list. A Heisman and at least one national championship though. I can’t think of any college QB who was better. Plunked? Staubach?
That’s where I remember it being too - in the grandstand. Got suckered by some cheerleaders into buying tickets to an early game against Ohio University.
I’ve got a friend who played with Carter on the Vikes. They’d play pick up games of different things. I asked him who was better at stuff. He said whatever team had Cris Carter on it won. It didn’t matter what they were playing.
Of course I can’t. I hope they do too…you gave two good examples. My opinion is they’d be better to trade him for a higher pick than they used to take him because that has a higher probability of working out. I’m not rooting against him.
If he impresses, they’d be smart to trade him for something better than a fifth round pick. It wasn’t just one bad decision. Even if he’s talented, there’s a higher chance he’ll disrupt the team than become a franchise QB.
