With his contributions so far this season he does appear to have a huge upside. Reminds me of an old school player who works hard and loves the game.

Agreed. At this point in the season with the veteran players we have we should be winning more games. The Big is way too talented to win games by playing tenacious D but struggle to consistently score. Coach P needs to develop a more consistent offensive game plan.
