I agree but my expectations are a little lower for the OL I’ll take average B10 level of play there which will still be a major upgrade. Even there I think we have a good/great year we just can’t be ranked in the 100’s any longer for run yards per game.
No, I don’t think so for those of us say right around 60 years old who used to tongue-in-cheek say that we’d like to get to the Rose Bowl once before we die that’s now become a reality. I get that the Rose Bowl is not the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow anymore with the playoff system, but...
Hard to tell who the leaders are on PJ’s teams. He anoints guys more than most coaches IMO but the team responds/goes to the best of its own drummer and may gravitate to non anointed ones. Ya hope your QB naturally is a leader but that’s not always the case.
I suppose a guy’s gotta appreciate your sunny outlook on things, but Iowa had us 31 to nothing at the half last year and could’ve beat us 60 to nothing if Ferentz hadn’t been completely bored in the second half. PJ has a long way to go yet on game day the other stuff is a nice to have but...
It certainly feels that way to me about half of our games even the ones that we win are so ugly. A lot of positives with the program but a good percentage of the time game day is not included in that.
OK Penn State you got me. Michigan was seventh in the conference that year in USC 10th. Neither are power programs right now although Michigan should turn around quickly.
I think the upper echelon conference coaches think PJ is harmless. When was the last time we even made any of them slightly nervous other than maybe Michigan which cratered post Harbaugh some. He wins his fair share against the rest of the conference and has absolutely no answer or fight in him...
Our rushing offense has ranked 130, 121 and 130 the past three years. Our OL has left something to be desired; although our play designer/caller is JV.
