Neither Williams or Edey were quick on their feet.
But playing 2 bigs that can neither stretch the floor is usually bad.
I don't know you hope the recruits turn out well. But this team just has very little on it. Its 200 level club that currently starts 3 seniors and 1 Junior. Payne is...
Maybe the Roster as a whole but not for the people who actually contribute. On T-Rank Minnesota is 4th to last in the B1G in experience behind Purdue Illinois and Michigan.
There is a difference between the future and recruiting guys will will probably commit in the next several months. Your asking Johnson to Recruit Heide over a school that has finished ahead of the Gophers 7 straight years and his dad went to. Plus has Grandparents living there. Or trying to...
Its not over till the fat lady sings, but its going to be unbelievably hard. Purdue is going to probably one of the better teams in the country this year and Minnesota probably won't.
If you are talking about the full 13 then not this year. Not that their won't be enough to field a team or anything. I would guess he ends up with maybe 10. He will be adding players as long as they are available
Yeah maybe Johnson can build steam or is a great X and Os coach even though thats not really supposed to be his strength. That being Said the hire has looked drastically worse since it was made and it didn't look that great then. He is supposed to be the Minnesota guy but he can't even retain...
Yeah I think people are underestimating how bad this is. The whole building his own team/culture is nonsense. This isn't trimming the fat it losing the whole damn hog. Its going to be hard to recruit guys in 2022 in the summer and fall after they have seen that no players want to stick around...
The semantics are dumb. What matters is that there will be a bigger jump if they are a low major or even D2 so you should manage your expectations.
That being said there have been great Low Major and D2 players who played great at the high major level. Plus plenty of Mid or even High Major...
