Was at a family get together this weekend with some cousins who are avid Gopher fans. They are older than me. They had absolutely no idea about DTA or its partners. I had a feeling this may be the case so I brought along some Duck, Duck, Beer. They liked it and said they would buy it...
Not understanding your negativity about this? It is really an easy way to generate revenue for DTA and the goal they are setting is very realistic. Even if the goal is not met, every purchase does generate revenue for DTA.
Yes. Duck Duck Beer is absolutely in the rotation but not the only beer I drink. But it absolutely has replaced others. I am switching to Gray Duck Vodka as well for home use.
Outstanding news with Grey Duck. The naysayers are wrong when it comes to NIL potential for the U of M. There are so many resources here along with a large population.
But a a majority of people still are uneducated about the entire NIL process or DTA. I have stated before that I think...
100 percent agree but my feeling is that it is here to stay. I think there is a stronger chance that there will be adjustments made to the transfer portal which if tightened could help mitigate NIL dollars to a certain extent.
It absolutely all comes down to how much NIL money is raised. This is by far the most important factor in the future success of any college FB team. Good start for 2024 for retaining our best players, getting a decent recruiting class and landing what appears to be an upgrade at QB. But...
There is more too it but the formula the NFL has is absolutely the best for all markets and is a huge contributor to it's popularity. The NHL will never be as popular as the NFL due to the nature of the sport and it's heavy regional support. MLB has as much parity as NFL? I'm hoping...
There is no doubt that DTA is gaining traction. My experience is showing me that most people still DO NOT understand the NIL/DTA and it's impact. I brought a case of DDB to my softball game and literally nobody had heard of it or understood what it meant for NIL $$. These are sports guys...
Bought my first 12 pack just before the Illionois debacle. In typical fashion, I jinxed yet another Minnesota sports team ad I was starting to get emotionally invested..........
Anyhow, the beer is very good IMO but not great. But good enough where I will continue to buy to support my Gophs...
As a bitter, cynical, hardened, jaded Minnesota sports fan, I had promised myself not to ever let one of my teams raise my blood pressure. 2023 Gophers accepted that challenge.
Daniel Jackson with some huge catches early which allowed the Offense to stay on the field and wear down the D. This gave Nubin a chance to run on a tired and beat up D. Any of the top three RB's would've done the same if not better. But there is only 1 WR making those catches now.
I really hope I'm wrong. But the scars of 45+ years of being a Gophs fan run deep.
MSU 23
Gophs 15
MSU is not as bad as people think and the Gophers are ripe for an emotional let down. We have ALL seen this movie before. The fact our two best RB will be gimpy at best adds to the concern.
