Yeah, listened as well. Agree it was quite entertaining. But of course since he's a former Gopher, Allen disparaged him by commenting on his perceived lack of flexibility by saying when St. Juste changes direction he looks like an aircraft carrier.
Must’ve been ‘81 then because I remember Hohensee and the Gophers beating the Buckeyes at Memorial stadium. Agree he was as good a Gopher QB as I’ve seen. Could run AND throw both at a high level.
Fair buildings? Just a guess. This game is played in the old Cotton Bowl, which is right smack in the middle of the Texas State Fairgrounds. And the game is played during the Fair.
I agree, i don’t think we can call our special teams effort great when we fair catch everything in sight, with lots of daylight in front of us. Kickoffs were awesome, ‘returns’ ultra conservative. If this is our strategy then so be it. It’s not great IMO.
Try this - when you start your Google Pay app, Click the far upper right icon next to your profile button. You will see a list of credit cards to set up. Ignore this, and hit the left back button. Now you should see the Tickets at the bottom. Worked for me. Uggh.
If Rose Bowl tickets are, say, $250 each, I can't see everyone in the lower ranks buying up all their allotment. 12 tix @ $250 would be $3000 at Christmas time, just for game tickets. I'm guessing if you are in the top 4000 ranks you will get tickets thru the school if desired.
In thinking...
My brother (Domer) warned me some 35 years ago that college football will 'eat your heart out' when he saw I was getting in deep with the Gophs. The way I look at it for us now is just be glad you're alive and can have these feelings.
