Try winning with four 6'3" guards on the court.
I think we both recognize there needs to be 5 solid players on the court, plus 3 others on the bench if you're going to win a national championship. A great point guard and a great interior big is still a winning formula.
I agree. We should see a more enjoyable offense with better movement, but we still may be a couple players short of moving up the standings. Sneaking into the Dance would be nice, but a 2nd tier post season tournament should be entirely expected.
This is a wonderful dream, but how do we stack up with all the other Big10 teams? This is a hard league with great players. For me, it's really too soon to predict anything.
Length is important, especially in conferences like the Big10. Rebounding, attacking the rim, getting the 50/50 balls, happen more often when you have length on the floor. A platoon of 6'6" to 6'10" guys are important. Whatever spots we have left, I think, will be filled with junkyard dogs in...
