I think the dad is a good guy and both of these kids are obviously on the younger side of their age.
Athan missed about a year of senior ball and he's still a kid at heart so dad's involvement seems appropriate considering the cut-throat nature of today's college football.
Whether they both go...
Hi all,
Thanks for all the new members who joined. Turning $200 to a $1,000 or even a $10 to a $50 helps.
This is the best "match campaign" I saw since this has started.
Just a reminder that the deadline is due before kickoff today.
Somewhat satisfying to know that as we get angry about NIL...
Minnesota is a relatively wealthy state.
Minnesota also only has one FBS football program.
SEC schools have had the advantage in cash bag drop offs up to this point, so they obviously have the early lead in NIL because their network was in place. It was just converting it to "legal" and...
I believe it's anonymous.
I haven't asked, but typically those are wealthier backers who are working to grow the base and a 2:1 to 4:1 match is the way it happens.
If you donate as an existing member, they will 2:1 match it.
If you are a new member it's a 4:1.
Donate $200, that's a $800 match...
If any of you were at the DTA event, thanks for contributing.
If not, and you want to help the players now is a good time to jump in with a 4-1 match on new members. Make someone else pay 4X whatever you are contributing.

You lose your #1 assistant and you want to slide in someone from the narrow list of people who can accept the job day 1?
Eliminating 90% of the best candidates with that approach.
Chip has a great idea, but it does nothing to handle the two biggest issues.
1. The TV networks claw on college football financial interests
2. See problem #1
If the coach isn't able to get through to the QB, and the QB is unable to be consistent, it's not crazy for the coaching staff to decide to go in another direction which they are.
How AK8 responds to that is his choice.
Just because a player isn't able to improve doesn't mean the coach needs...
Sanford recruited Knuth.
Kirk recruited Viotto. He saw him on a rainy day and offered on the spot.
Seemed like Kirk just wanted to get a commitment and be done.
My opinion is we all know what's happening the Thursday after weakling Wednesday.
This hire was a Minnesota media influenced hire. The media which largely hates Gophers men's sports conveniently laid out a narrative just prior to the coaching hiring process.
My belief is this may have...
The piece that will bring the most parity is when the players start getting paid.
The Big Ten will probably be the first to do this, and when they do, that would imply a level of balance across all teams.
Also, any time there has been an athletic league with paid players, a draft is the next...
Talent evaluation is an imperfect science, so even as the top 10 programs draw their first picks and give them large sums of cash, there are still more players who want to be starting QB who believe they are better than the players who were selected.
The Hudson Card transferring to Purdue is an...
