Is Emmett Johnson biggest miss ever

Remember, it was Bert Bielema who recruited Frank to Arkansas. Bert considered the Twin Cities as his ‘in-state’ recruiting, even after he left Madison for Fayetteville

Is Emmett Johnson biggest miss ever

He would have been interested, but he knew the Gopher’ offense was not suited to his skill set. Also, it would have been difficult to say no to Howard Schnellenberger and Jimmy Johnson

Is Emmett Johnson biggest miss ever

Back in the Lou Holtz era, the Gophers were more interested in the Dual Threat QB’s (Ricky Foggie), and less so in the pro-style QB’s (Steve Walsh)

Will the Gophers win 20 games this year?

Depends on how 'creative ' we want to be? PJ went 1-0 during the bye week. Might have to think out of the box ;)

If the blue bloods left for a "super league", who would be hurt more, them or the also-rans like us?

When Oregon State and Washington State were left behind to form the PAC 2, I’m not sure folks realize how little revenue they have been left with (try 90% lower media rights deals per school). If the blue bloods move on… the reminder will be stunned at the crumbs they will be left with. No way...

Dan Lanning shares Oregon has spoken with Big Ten about uneven preparation in his team's schedule (Lanning cites Gopher game)

Yes, Oregon plays Minnesota on a Friday in Eugene. That gives Oregon an extra day of preparation for its following game against Southern Cal, also to be played in Eugene. Will the Big 10 office receive a similar complaint from Southern Cal?

@dandakich Of course, Michigan football should have to vacate wins and their championship. The players absolutely knew Harbaugh was a cheat and Stallions was as well and decided to go along with it. The players are actually the biggest cowards 12:29 PM · Aug 15, 2025

The NCAA has opened an investigation into No. 2 Michigan over possible rule-breaking around in-person scouting of opponents

I want to point out how bizarre this statement from Kay Norton is, because the report explicitly found: "Despite the parties' arguments, the scouting scheme likely provided Michigan with a competitive advantage."

Trey Wallace Aug 15, 2025 @TreyWallace_ Stalions told an intern and others that there was an individual who provided funding, but the committee could not find out who actually funded it. "We do not know where the money came from" @TreyWallace_ NCAA: Coach Harbaugh never turned over emails...

The NCAA has opened an investigation into No. 2 Michigan over possible rule-breaking around in-person scouting of opponents

NEW: From the NCAA's report on Michigan:"… the true scope and scale of the scheme—including the competitive advantage it conferred—will never be known due to individuals’ intentional destruction and withholding of materials and information."
