I love field storming and people who want to ban it outright hate joy.
….but yikes, that was a World War Z level stampede. Need to have a wall or Auburn-like hedge to slow the crowd at least a little.
I know “transitive wins/losses” aren’t really a thing in CFB but our past and future opponents’ performances this weekend have me feeling really bad about our chances this season.
I thought a 6-win projection early on was a little insulting. Now it feels hopeful.
We have 9 games left. 7 of those are very winnable/close to toss ups.
So I think we likely win around half of those 7 games, meaning 6-6 or 7-5 seem like the most likely outcomes. PJ’s teams tend to improve during the year so I’ll take 7-5.
That’s a good way to put it. It’s a very frustrating loss, but nowhere near embarrassing.
Bowling Green was embarrassing. South Dakota was embarrassing. Blowing a late, huge lead against Northwestern was embarrassing.
Cal is just a loss. It happens.
I think this game is evidence that we shouldn’t be scheduling any OOC road games with west coast teams. A 9:30 start time is rough on players and the fans, and there’s no benefit when we have to do it a couple times per year anyway in conference play.
Edit: PJ’s teams are always good for one or...
Currently FSU. As a grad school alum of a smaller ACC school, FSU’s fans are incredibly condescending and think their own $hit doesn’t smell. You’d think by losing to my school, a conference opponent with a winning record (this was several years ago), their program had committed the ultimate...
PJ could be tempted to go elsewhere at some point, but UNC or Kentucky “poaching” him?
Kentucky is an afterthought in the SEC. We are more relevant in the B1G than Kentucky is in the SEC. It’s a lateral move at best.
UNC? Maybe if just wants a more famous college brand to put on his quarter...
