I like it feel better about the players on 24/25 team, than the guys we lost. I see experience and hard nosed guys that have something to prove—That they belong in the upper half of the Big Ten, good job Ben!
Seriously, how can the Gophers compete in the BigTen when the only players that commit rank in the sub 90 range typically with 3 stars on the 24/7 Sports Transfer Portal. Discouraging to see teams like Ohio State and Indiana add portal recruits that rank 90-96 with a 4 or 5 star rating, sounds...
Amir was 2 years older than Christie is now. Christie needs to get stronger with the ball, and add 15-20 lbs of muscle. He needs another year or two to be NBA ready.
This team is showing some real mental toughness, they are not cracking under the pressure in late game situations. Iowa City tough place to play, but if they can stay close I like their chances.
Friend of mine is an oddsmaker for several of the books, he said it is quite phenomenal that the gophers are 19-3 against the spread. They have earned new respect and the lines are sure to shrink for future games.
He absolutely has one more year of eligibility. Next year he will be a graduate level student. He is suddenly making a difference and his toughness is spreading throughout the team.
Sick and tired of Izzo’s crying and pouting whenever a call doesn’t go his way. The guys need to play like SOB’s from the opening tip, and never let up, a lead at half would be a welcome start to a victory tomorrow night. This is an especially important game as they need to protect home court...
Last time I checked Ohio State trails the Gophers by 1 1/2 games in the Big Ten. Granted their Net ratings are marginally better than the Gophs, but not good enough to be a bubble team. Grass is not always greener on the other side. Wouldn’t it be sweet if Mr. Battle was starting along side...
Hopefully the refs will allow these 2 bigs a little pushing and shoving before they start calling fouls. If Jack can wear Edey down just a little, that would be a victory.
We haven’t seen much of Jack this season, but wouldn’t it be sweet to have our 6’11” 300lb backup center use some of his offensive lineman leverage moves to get Zach away from his usual routine. Jack is fearless and if he doesn’t foul out to soon, could be a factor leading to a Gopher upset...
After 2 different knee operations, looks to me as though Parker Fox has regained his confidence, and is showing the young players on this team what it takes to win games. 4 blocks and super hustle plays with no regard to his personal safety is so impressive. He needs to play at least 15-20...
