    Curt Cignetti’s Contract

It's hard to know what coaches are doing behind their contracts. If Cignetti was offered, hey, instead of paying you $7,000,000 a year, we'll pay you about half of that, and throw the other half at assistants and players. You don't need a $7 million dollar coach if you have $7 million in NIL...

    Michigan Back In The Headlines

Why are we wanting to penalize student athletes who won a title for issues adults in charge made? Cheating adults should be held accountable. Not the students who earned a title with their effort on the field.

Your Favorite Quirks About College Football

This list is nearly perfect. The college overtime, as bad as it is, could be improved if they started at the 35 yard line where it's a least not perfectly in field goal range. The offensive mentality would have to change a bit if teams had to first worry about getting into comfortable field...

Gophers are making sure Darius Taylor 'has a really healthy 2024'

The only thing I don't understand about this off-season emphasis on getting to know his body is it implies that he wasn't doing all of these things right last year and in turn that was the cause of the injuries. I believe injuries are somewhat a chance circumstance, but maybe I'm wrong.

Sporting News: Top 3 Questions for Minnesota at Big Ten Media Days

I'll take the Shannon Brooks, Rodney Smith, Mo Ibrahim backfield as the deepest. Rodney may have been the best as far as NFL prospects, but Shannon Brooks was my favorite to watch, and Mo is a legend.

NCAA Tournament to include two new metrics beginning in 2025; committee delays decision on expansion

The BartTorvik.com is very similar to Ken Pom which is also a strong efficiency ranking. I think Bart also developed the Wins Above Bubble. Gophers spent much of this last season -1 at the best in this (after the loss to Missouri. Using KenPom / Efficiency and BartTorvik.com are almost just...

    Conference Realignment Updates

I don't know if they go divisions or not, but if you don't you need a semi-final game. With 20 teams you'll have too many tied teams for a logical tie breaker.

Which college football teams are most helped — and hurt — by conference realignment?

The Gophers have it tough due to two locked in rivalries with the two teams that were strongest in the West. So not only do we get the tougher teams from the east more frequently, but we also get the top two teams from the West in Iowa and Wisconsin. Good news is if we go 10-2 we are a CFP team.

Which college football teams are most helped — and hurt — by conference realignment?

Hopefully not AP poll because that one is traditionally biased for the SEC and their 8 game conference schedules.
