I didn't realize that I guess. But I guess it makes sense. The Gophers could probably generate as much (or likely more) from their own TV contract as opposed to being part of the BIG.
I also have to think that the only reason men's hockey does not generate as much revenue as men's basketball is television contracts. That's speculation but Men's hockey has recently had higher average attendance so ticket sales (regardless of ticket price) cannot explain that variance. Maybe...
We didn't recruit him as a TE; he might move up in the recruiting rankings; Voss was ranked higher, he is 225 and likely will be a better player. Again, he was not wrong on all points.
I actually dont wish anything for him. He didn't want to be part of our club. So why would I cheer for someone who decided they didn't want to be part of "our thing.'? Because we share the same birth state? No... I want the Gophers to absolutely beat the hell out of him when they see him on...
I might lose a little sleep. Just would be really nice to land him, and continue the momentum for top rated MN kids wanting to be Gophers. Be Golden, young man!
Is it normal for a middle aged guy to lose sleep over a college decision by a 17 year old kid that he doesn't know? I believe I need professional help. All the same i am praying that Roman is a Gopher on Monday!
If I recall correctly, we got the ball first in OT. We were called for a hold on a freaking dive play. I think that was our fist play from scrimmage in OT. Anyway, we got backed up, and we ultimately did not score. All the Badgers had to do was run a few plays and kick a field goal to win it.
