Wonder if this means that the Gophs will be willing to schedule a game against them more often. I really don't care that much but will be interesting to see if it makes a difference.
That is 100% true but he is a PSU guy. They play hockey the same way. Someone should tell them that you can also play physical hockey without gooning it up, taking dives and constantly whining to the officials.
Made the trip down to the Cities for this one. Mariucci was rocking and I was frankly a bit surprised. Student section was tremendous. I had forgotten what it felt like to be so happy after a Gopher sweep! This looked like a different Gopher team.
Agreed on all counts. Our D was also better last night. By light years. If we had that version of our D the entire year... the season would at least be a bit better too. Hoping they look just as good tonight. Agree with Bonin that the Badgers are not nearly as good as the Michigan...
I don't think so at all. If we recruit better classes form the high school ranks, and retain at about the same rate we do currently... that could be a good formula.
I actually think this might be a good strategy. If you rely on the portal and you don't have as much NIL money as other places (I am assuming this to be true for football at least), then aren't you fighting a losing battle by competing with those schools for the same top transfers? And if for...
Based on your usual stance that Bob is a horrible recruiter, I'm surprised you wouldn't think it's WAY MORE LIKELY to get all the Cullens if Bob "bails."
I'm thinking that Bob does go away at the end of this year, but it will be positioned as a "mutual agreement". It will be well-vetted with any incoming recruits. Bob might stick around with another advisory job in the athletic department or something but my gut tells me that this is his last...
And btw, you didn't answer my question about finding a single quote on this board from someone claiming to know that Gopher hockey had as much NIL funding as MSU. You won't answer that because you can't.
Yes, I believe that MSU likely does have more NIL funding devoted to hockey. I have never said otherwise. But I don't know that to be a fact and I don't know the magnitude of the difference. Nobody does, yet you claim to. Make you happy?
