Agree. I would be much more likely to tune into a South Florida vs Ole Miss game than sime of the other matchup that might occur if we took 5 teams from both the SEC and BIG. Group of Five teams might never win the whole thing but they could absolutely pull an upset in first game.

I agree 100%. I think the big thing missing for some people is this... the playoff is not designed to get the best 12 teams in the bracket. Or best 16. Or best 18. Or whatever it will expand to. That was never the intent. It's the same thing with a lot of tournaments. Take the NCAA...

I am usually pretty optimistic. But cmon... we just got housed by 30, again, against a quality opponent. We have squeaked out wins against lower half of Big Ten and I am glad we did. Lost to a very average Cal team. We have one very impressive win vs Nebraska. Sorry if I am not excited...

Zero case for us being worst in country. Just stop it. That absurd statement actually reduces the credibility of any sane argument you'd have about the concerning state of the program.

Went with an F, but it's mostly reflective of the talent disparity and I am in a really bad mood. It wasn't effort. Our LBs were really exposed last night. Our OL... whoof. As for Drake, I don't know. He definitely shows signs. But he throws some really weird balls at receivers...

I'm not sure we are folding up shop. The talent level difference is simply astounding. They have a roster full of what we would consider to be our top talent. That said, I cannot explain why other teams seem to play top team like Oregon better (see Wisconsin).

Couple that loss with a total humiliation in football in front of a large television audience, and it's a tough morning to be a Gopher fan. At least football lost to one of the best teams in the country.

Of course it burns in all of us. But for crying out loud, I don't need to be reminded of how much it sucked. It happened. It was awful. And it will be three years ago this spring. Can we please not relive it everyday?

I'm just so impressed that there are 20 posts in this thread, and not one of them has complained about PJ not getting top recruits, changing his best, etc. Refreshing. Hope he turns out to be a great player.
