The way Minnesota found a way to win was clamping down on defense, taking care of the ball, clearing rebounds and one of our scorers got really hot. USC's defense against us and the big offensive second quarter by Davenport was the reason they surged ahead in the 2nd quarter.

I'm not worried about Battle. I'm guessing that in the next game or game after, she'll end up having another one of those "Thank God for Battle" games that she seems to come up with just when casual fans are losing faith in her.

Offense is fun (Thanks GG) but defense, Thanks Glenn, Braun, GG and McKinney, (starting with about 4 minutes left in the 3rd) wins games! I think we held them to 19 points in the last 15 minutes. Good win!

Nice 5 minute run in the 3rd. Good defense and GG (except for that awful turnover with :35) takes over for Minn. Hated giving up that "Might as well" 3 at the end, but you're also worried about her driving to the hoop and drawing a foul. At least now we're in the game.
