Game 1: Gophers host North Dakota (11-4-25)

Saw them working on her off the end of the bench a couple of minutes ago. Then saw her back on the bench, flexing her legs a little as if she could go back in if needed. They'll sit her the rest of the game

Game 1: Gophers host North Dakota (11-4-25)

In addition to being hot from 3, seems she knows where to be defensively and giving really good effort. That's gonna earn her more court time.

Was that Mara Braun I saw limping off the court with about a minute to go in the 3rd?

So far, I like the active defense. We seem to have a good idea/ ability of knowing when, and getting under a high screen and when and getting through over the top of the screen.

Signing up for Big Ten +

Thanks. Seems the issue is that when I got to payment options, there was a slot that said Coupon with an Apply button, that I apparently accidentally hit. That kinda locked me up in terms of completing my sign-up. Of course, Virtual Assistant never asked or suggested that maybe I shouldn't...

Signing up for Big Ten +

Trying to sign up for Big Ten +. Got stuck on the Coupon Code question. Virtual Assistant says they sent one to my email. They did not (inbox or spam). We did the circle of basic steps of signing up, including the claim of sending coupon code to my email address. Finally asked for live...

Mallory Heyer announces she's leaving Gophers program

To be clear, the speculation is not that she lost her starting spot (we honestly don't 100% know about that) it's that she left the team for THAT EXACT reason. The worst case scenario mentioned is that many on this board assume (with-out actually knowing her or about any of the possible things...

Mallory Heyer announces she's leaving Gophers program

In my 50 years of employment and management, I have found that people who immediately default to worst case scenario in absence of any actual facts or explanations are generally the type of people who will help you fail, much more often than they will help you succeed. Occasionally, they may be...

Mallory Heyer announces she's leaving Gophers program

I was roaming through several threads late last night and came apon a comment from Maroon Magic at the end of last season. One short comment was that he had a feeling that, of the big 4 recruits (Braun, Battle, Heyer and Holliway) Heyer was the most likely to bolt. I remember calling him/her...

    Minnesota 2025-2026

Perception is probably coming from those randoms who complain that she shoots too much (even though Dawn P has mentioned a few times that they want her to look for her shots) she dribbles too much (more than 3 dribbles disrupts the flow of the offense, as opposed to setting up more options as...

    Recruiting

Do we think at this point, or even at the point of her very first practice with the Gophers, Coach P cares if GG was ranked 98th or 198th? I mean, most of us don't even remember and once she was in our gym, it was pointless to care.

    Recruiting

Just saying, that as a coach, once I have them in the gym and working out with my team, it doesn't matter to me if or where they are ranked by national services. I know fans care, but fans don't have to coach them, I do. Doesn't matter if they were ranked in the top 50 or ranked 250. What...

    Recruiting

Once we have them committed of on our team, does it really matter where they are rated? I mean, if our coaching staff wanted them and got them in house, who cares where other people rank them?

Arizona’s Rocky Gronkstone ejected from scrimmage

Put a Arizona football legend in a funny wig, add him to the team as a last minute transfer, and he'll eventually go off. :) All part of a fun show for the fans.

Executives are inching closer to agreement to expand NCAA tournament to 76 teams with a 12-game “opening round” played at two sites starting in 26-27

Here's the idea. Each team plays one or 2 exhibition games against a D-2 team, then the NCAA tournament starts on Nov. 10. Every single D-1 team is in it. 2 games per week. You have to lose twice (wait, better make it 3 times) to be eliminated (Unless you're one of the 20 or so TV-Friendly...
