I’m not sure what the pissing match is about between two of the posters here. But I agree that Ben Johnson doesn’t owe anyone a public response to his firing.
And Fleck gets a $1 million raise while the department runs a deficit. Seems like Fleck could get by on the millions they are currently paying him, in light of the financial challenges going forward. I guess I don’t understand the wealthy.
I heard through some coaches from a well respected out state program that Brewster didn’t show much love for non metro guys with D1 potential, one of whom was on their team. They were very disappointed in Brewster’s recruiting efforts.
Love old Vancouver, but the city has dozens of unimpressive identical high rises in the downtown area that reminds me of what they did in Soviet Russia back in the day. Pretty ugly.
Good points. I think a lot of coaches will have to deal with resentment over who gets paid more than others. With Garcia it made sense that he was the highest paid because of his experience and stature on the team.
