If Collins is back as DC, I would like to see bringing in a veteran defensive coach as a DB coach. Someone with 20 years experience who would be an advisor to Collins.
The last 2 games, opposing qb's have completed 52/60 for over 600 yards. Add in the Michigan State Qb throwing for over 300 yards in his first start the game before. qb's could play against air and not be much better.
If either the DB coach or defensive coordinator, or both aren't fired it...

It might also have something to do with not having a ball control philosophy on offense. Defensive stats for a team that runs the play clock down to zero and hands the ball off to Mo Ibrahim 35 times a game will look pretty good.
In PJ's nine years at Minnesota, he is 7-1 vs Nebraska including 6 in a row.
What do you estimate Nebraska's football budget compared to ours has been during that 9 year period? Have they outspent us by $100 million? More?
I'm 55 years old and if you had told me 15 years ago we would have 6...
Bryan Hodgson at Arkansas State was Nate Oates top assistant and rated the #2 recruiter in the country. Watched a few interviews, seemed like a good dude. Buffalo native, talked alot about the Bills.
Just looking at the standings.
There is a scenario that the Gophers finish with 7 wins while USC, Nebraska, Michigan, and Wisconsin all finish with 6 overall wins. How many teams can jump us in the bowl selection process?
Does it make sense to put all your money into an 18 year old that needs a year or two to develop or rent a QB for a year? So many new questions in the NIL era.
