Go Gophers!!

I have us covering this in my predict the score.

I think Kill & Co will come out to prove a point and just destroy NMSU at the point of attack. We run for 350 plus and both our QBs run for more than a 100 yards!

Texas had 715 yards of Offense against New Mexico State on Saturday, a school record for Texas. Texas may be good...but the Aggies are bad.

Wait just a minute, last year they came into The Bank and beat us by 7. Maybe some tape, maybe some of the coverage following that game should be posted in the locker room. This is payback and all three phases need to play their absolute best.

This has to be our biggest opening in a long time I'm guessing...

I was there and they really outplayed us. So nothing is certain (but I expect a big win!).

I will be at this game. I will stay even after we hit the 40 mark and the 50 mark...and...

Why? Because we deserve it.

I'd give the 21. That means I take the Gophers for the non-betting crowd.

I think Kill and Co couldn't care less about making a point or how impressive their winning margin is. I'm guessing they've had a plan for these first three games for weeks/months and they're sticking to it, building for the B1G season.

I wouldn't be shocked to see more vanilla play calling, other than maybe a fee more passes to build Nelson's confidence.

In light of that, I'm not sold on the 21. I'd consider taking NMSU at home. I'm partial to home dogs tho

They have Willie Mobley. How cold we possibly score that many point on them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Today on www.scoresandodds.com there must be lots of money going with NMSU to cover at +21, so to get more money on the Gophers, it is now at Minnesota -15.5. We use scoresandodd.com for Pick Per Day Contest.

The "smart money" stays in my wallet and reads these for entertainment only, doesn't leave my wallet.

Ah, wasn't referring to you, but if it makes you feel better..

I think it depends on if we play our freshman WRs... If they play with the first team O, we will put up some big numbers.

Gophers now at -16.5:

8:00 PM (369) MINNESOTA AT (370) NEW MEXICO ST +16.5

21 points is a lot for a home dog, so I'm not surprised to see it tightening some.

No doubt. 21 points is also a lot to be favored for a team that had 8 games last year where it didn't score more than 17 points.

Hoping to see some long sustained drives Saturday by the Rodent offense. Seeing how Kill and Limegrover called the UNLV game, I don't know how anyone can really expect the Gophers to run up 40+ points on Saturday. They'll run it as vanilla as vanilla can get, try to get some rhythm on offense, but they won't show a single thing for future opponents like SJSU and Iowa, games they will be challenged but HAVE to win.

I mentioned it before, I don't think this staff gives one tiny crap about how impressive they are in these NC games. They have an agenda, a plan, on the way to preparing for the meat of the schedule. Win the game, get out healthy, play a lot of players, get ready for next week. That's what we'll see the next few weeks.

I think you are mostly right however I would disagree some with the very first part of your statement. The staff could care less if they blow out these opponents or wrack up a ton of style points, however they do want to see their team physically dominate inferior opponents and look like a team ready to compete in the Big Ten.

+1. On all of this.
