Tues @ 8:30: stadium lights, including the lighting of 4 stadium scoreboards!

Webcam?

Anyone else having problems with the webcam? It would be great to see the lights come on for the first time and I live in Milwaukee. Know of any fixes? Someone want to be there and post the video on here or youtube?

Its been out for everyone for a while now, sorry. :(

i am not going to lie. i live in minneapolis near the U and will be heading.....

over that way around 8:30PM to check it out. kind of a geek like that! ;)

The webcam looks like its back up (although it's aimed slightly different) for those that want to tune in tonight to see the lights.:clap::clap:

All i am getting is camera #2 and its staring at the outside brickwall..

any clue why i cant get #1 up??

Lights are on

They have already turned the lights on.

One of the news crews is there too.

just rode the bus by there... completely gorgeous!!

I took a bunch of pics, I will post them later tonight or early tomorrow when I get home.

Pretty awesome with the lights on,......according to the scoreboard - Gophers 35 Penn State 35, at the start of the 4th Quarter. Must be an exciting game.

Sadly according to the out of town scoreboard, Wisconsin beating Purdue 26-8.

I drove by. It looked really cool. Great view of the M-I-N-N-E-S-O-T-A on the visitor upper deck all lit up. There is a fully lit marquee between the first and second decks similar to what you see in other stadiums (like Xcel). I'm not crazy about it b/c it has a pro-feel to it, but it is first rate. They were running fake Big Ten scores up there when I went by, (ex. Wisconsin 26 Purdue 8.). I did not get a view of the big scoreboard but there was a big M on the side of it all lit up. I took pics with my phone (was on the way home from the Twins game) and they are too washed out to be of any value. Hard to believe we are only four months away!

Was just looking at webcam 2 and saw the ghosts of bierman, nagurski, b smith & lund

walk into the stadium through an archway. talk about a sign of good things to come at the bank for the gopher football squad! freaky i know! ;)

Here is a link to the pics I took. I only stayed until about 8:45 because my meter was running out, so it wasn't pitch black out. I took a few from the top of the University Ave Ramp and then went down to the street for the bulk of them, the last couple are from the other side of the train tracks on Elm Street. Even though it's not truly night time, I think you can get a feel for the lighting pretty well.

No way. Would have been awesome to see. You can always say you were there the first time. I wish I had been free to go check it out. Hope someone has pictures soon.

Thank you Ski U Master!

Perhaps I'm a bit nostalgic, but those pictures brought tears to my eyes. I've experienced college football in the dome for far too long. It's great its back on campus where it belongs.

Thanks again!

Awesome pictures - thanks for posting.

Go Gophers!!

So was Nervous Gopher the guy that spent about 45 minutes walking around the stadium in a Wisconsin jacket yesterday?

These pics are just flat out awesome. It's been WAY too long since Minnesota has seen outdoor football (Both Gophers and Vikings). I understand the benefits of the Dome as far as protection from bad weather, but you just can't beat the effect of a game under the lights and the atmosphere it provides. Thanks for the pics!

Your pics are sick. The scoreboard looks sweet. Why does Maturi have seats in the upper deck? You think as the AD he'd have a little more pull...

Actually they are lower deck tickets. In the comment section I said upper instead of lower.

After seeing the scoreboard in full effect, I am so disappointed. By the time you take away space for the score/time and all of the advertising, there is hardly any room for the video to be shown. I bet it's barely bigger than the Dome. Horrible.

Kidding, of course! I'm pumped. Come on Sept 12!!
