Tough to see the Big's best rated so low. Sullinger's stock is dropping, Hummel is a role player at best, Drama green is too slow to play D, taylor is too small and can't create his own shot (nice job bo), Shurna ? Miles Leonard might be the only Big hope to make an impact.

Everyone knew this wasn't going to be a strong class once Zeller and a few others stayed. Plus the B10 is a very good conference but has never been a hotbed for the elite, one and done types. Only OSU really has that type of recruiting profile while other B10 schools seem happy to go after the slightly lower rated guys that will have to stick around a bit.

This whole draft is a bad one, even out of the big 10. Outside of the first 10 picks, there won't be many value picks, steals or great players. There should be some decent value players in the 2nd round like Casper Ware, Jae Crowder and possibly even Jordan Taylor. Very poor draft class overall, imo. Best player is Bradley Beal, imo.

Your opinion isn't shared by the "experts." Most consider this a deep draft and the best draft for top level talent in 3 to 4 years. This isn't an historic draft class but one that most consider above-average.

This draft by the experts is called deep but not because of the top talent. Davis is the only one thought to be a Star quality player at the NBA level and that is based on his defense only. The next group of players wouldnt be top 5 picks most season according to most. The next group of guys wouldnt be top 15 picks most years. What this draft has is a large number of players who can fill roles and can contribute but wont develope into All Star type players. You have a ton of guys who are fringe starters or backups that will help teams but wont lead them.

Reading comments from many of the NBA coaches they think this draft is nothing special. Monty Williams and a couple others have been outspoken against the deepest draft in years talk.

This here. There are a lot of players that can potentially be decent NBA players, particularly because there are a ton of bigs and wings, 2 places the NBA lacks. However all these 6'10" + guys are either raw, have questionable work ethic or are never going to be offensive threats and none of the wings other than maybe Beal and MKG have star potential. Royce White could actually end up one of the best players from this draft. Or he may never develop a J, never learn how to play/guard a true position and burn out. Whole draft is a crap shoot

I think there are several guys who may wind up being called 'steals' in a few years (mid-to-high teen draft picks and even a couple that will go in the mid-20s).

Not going to get into too much detail here, but a couple of draft thoughts are (1) I'm a big fan of Lillard and (2) Sullinger dropping as far as some current projections have him going gives someone a steal (i.e., late teens, but maybe that'll change when some of these guys put out their mock version number 14,432 or whatever it's up to later today).

I actually like the sgs in this draft. Wish the Wolves would've kept that pick and drafted one of them rather than taking Derrick's minutes away.

I would think the concensus was that none would be available at 18, waiters, beal, lamb, Rivers, and Ross would already be taken. Realistically I don't think Rivers was a fit and Ross is more of a project, Adleman must like Budinger.

draft depth

This draft by the experts is called deep but not because of the top talent. QUOTE]

I think because of 4 players returning who possibly would have been lottery picks last year made everyone assume their would be a deep lottery. But P. Jones, Sullinger, T. Jones, and Harrison Barnes have all been looked over and disected so much by the experts than all but Barnes' stock have dropped. Reminds me of when Noah returned to school and his stock fell now he is a top 5 center in the NBA. I think this is a deep draft but not that many sure things at the top. Last year was pretty weak so it made this year look better. Almost no international players in this one.

Lots of people who might be picked 15-30 who could become bigtime players though: Royce, both Joneses, Harkles, Sullinger, Q. Miller.

Very possible. There are plenty of mock drafts that have one of them available though. It's too bad Ross had such good workouts. I actually wanted to use an asset (such as one of next year's picks) to move up slightly for one of those 5 sgs.

I hope we don't trade Williams because I know we won't get the value for him that we should. I would've been happy with the Beal deal if it were accepted but nobody else would be worth it. I wouldn't mind us trading for Barton (given we don't have to give up much).

Wouldn't mind if the Wolves drafted Ken Horton near the end. Or bring him in if undrafted.
