2026 Second Round Playoff Thread: Minnesota vs San Antonio

The faster Julius Randle is gone the happier I’ll be
Ill only be happier when finch is gone
I think a vast majority of Wolves fans agree with both of you but my guess is that Finch being fired is a long shot at best, and I can't imagine we get equal value back for Randle in a trade.

I thought they'd show some fight.

This is disturbing. There isn't a player on our team that can play with these guys.

Clean house!

Have a great off season everyone!

What an impressive last stand by Finch, Willis and thou player who can never be traded because he plays like an AS once every three weeks.

🤣😆🤣😆🤣😆🤣😆🤣😆

Perfect theme music -

Gonna need wolves shooters to hit these wide open ones to come back

...and continue to play defense like they did that last 8 minutes of the half. Shannon was a big factor in that.

McDaniels and Randle..oof- terrible half by that pair.

Do we think Rudy feels embarrassed that he’s literally been so poor against Wemby we’re playing guys they can just lob it up to instead of him?

70 million dollars for 2 guys giving you 3 points and 10 boards off 1/11 shooting is probably not going to get the job done

One of the NBC talking heads indicated his knees are at best 60%. Anti-soft.

Exhibit C as in Charmin. Didn’t see the game, but all three analysts Ex-Players with chops, roasted him for it - Griffin, Hallam and Dirk.

He wants to be liked, when he needs to be a lot more of a prick if he’s ever gonna win a chip. Ant is just a big old Saint Bernard, when he really needs to be us a Pitbull.

I wonder what Sam Cassell would tell him about this? I bet it wouldn’t be the same as his good friend Finchy🤷‍♂️. I also think it’s disrespectful to the guys replacing the starters.

Not sure I get the fascination with Cassell. A career assistant who played in the league 20 years ago and who's been passed over for HC jobs a million times.

Winner.

Won chips as both a player and coach (how many can lay claim to that pedigree?) and if that is your goal as an organization, how could you be any thing than other than fascinated?

Additionally, you have no clue as to how many times he interviewed and didn’t get the HC gig🤦‍♂️

Sam needs to be our next HC

been talked about and speculated by many former players that some of it may be how he interviews or that some in the league have something against him. Is odd he's been passed by so many times (and not even been interviewed for some jobs) given his player and AC tenures and who he has coached under

He isn’t bashful and some may not appreciate that style - I do. He seems like a smug Richard, so he and AROD should get along famously😆

I want someone that tell Ant his move to go over to SA bench and congratulate them with 8 minutes was BS and not what a true Alpha does; all three ex-players criticized it on the Prime postgame show.

Ant receives far too much leeway from the Wolves - they need someone to teach him how to be a winner, as it’s not innate in him like ut was with MJ, Bron and Kobe.

Seven confirmed interviews. Easy to look up. Obviously hasn't distinguished himself enough as an assistant coach to be a "hot commodity," whatever that means. Retreads (like Rivers) and first timers (like Finchy) are getting gigs over him.

Connelly needs to go before Finch. The future assets cupboard is bare. It's an unbalanced roster without a pg (and, no, I don't want to hear about Ant as our pg). It's a young roster that got old (and stuck) quickly.

So not millions of interviews😉.

Regarding his being past over, one man’s trash is another man’s treasure.

Agree regarding the last pragraph in it’s entirety🤠

I don't think it works that way. Ant is 24 years old, he probably makes $100M/year in hoops and endorsement income. He's supremely talented, a top 5-7 player. He's beloved in the locker room. Put it all together and, at this point in his life, he knows everything. It's pretty remarkable that he isn't an asshole. If (a big if) the reports are accurate, he listens to Finch as much as he's going to listen to anybody.

Once he gets a little older he might be able to learn something.

You don’t know if it works until you try, my friend. This team ain’t making any finals unless they magically get transported to the Eastern Conference,

The thing you left out of your assessment, is a chip earns you respect. 30 years from now,Ant will be just another glorified scorer, unless he wins a chip.

Naz Reid on what separates MIN from OKC/SAS: "Just the moodiness. Both of those teams, they're playing for one another, excited to be on the floor with one another, they're selfless... we have more than enough talent, just need to be less moody and more selfless."

As of today, he's happy here. If you try and fail, he'll want out (ATL most likely) and that will set the franchise back years. I don't think you mess with a positive coach/superstar relationship. You try to fix the other stuff first. If that relationship breaks down then the coach goes.

What’s funny bro is you act like you’re the ultimate Wolves insider, vs. just another middle aged schlub with an opinion on an anonymous message board.

No offense, but you have no idea about what Ant’s relationship is with anyone else, including Finch. This reminds me of when someone famous gets arrested for something tawdry and people are shocked because that doesn’t match the public persona; persona is the Greek word for mask

I’m a rise taker, I moved to NYC at 32 without a job or an apartment; I find the biggest return comes from those willing to roll the dice - maybe AROD can flash his ring in Ant’s face till he gets mesmerized. Fire Tim and hire Darryl would be bold, ballsy and exciting😃.

OKC had KD, Russ and Harden, lost all three, replaced them and then won their championship. MN would still be in a state of perpetual Alonzo Mourning over losing the aforementioned three All-Stars.

You either got ‘em Jammy or you don’t -
