Maybe celebrating that draft rating from yesterday?

In all reality who cares - way better than a DWI or assault charge.

My biggest question would be what is he doing there? The academic semester is not over yet.

I have no idea, but would assume he is 100% online... if he is worried about classes. I would assume he plans his trips home around the football calendar. Guessing it is a pretty light week with the team being they just had the spring game.

Underage consumption and a fake ID = getting arrested? Odd.

When was the last time someone got in trouble under PJ?

I have a 21-year-old and a 19-year-old . They both had or have fake ID's and always went to (and still do) go to Sally's, as did all of their friends. I don't think this is a big issue. Most likely 90% of the underage athletes have done this. I am glad he was not driving or getting into fights, to me that is much more serious.

The underage consumption should just be a ticket, it's probably the using of the fake ID that did it.

Back in 2018 I think, some walk-on TE got in a fight with cops and was removed from the team.

Yep Mounds View or Stillwater kid… East

Correct. Fake id gets you taken to jail and booked a bunch of places
Agree having the fake is a larger offense than the underage consumption. Although my kid's friends who have gotten caught with them have just gotten them taken away, I don't think they were booked into jail. I'm guessing the cops have some discretion there maybe?

i'd imagine so. one of my nephews got booked in ND for it. Have had other friends just get theirs taken in MN though this was many moons ago. Sure it depends on context and what you're trying to do with it/situation

I'd be lying if I said I didn't have a California drivers license that said I was from LaJolla, CA prior to my 21st.....

So what should be the proper punishment? Going easy may set a bad example; going hard may not fit the crime. I'll hang up & listen......

I am willing to be there have been others on the team busted for the same thing or similar, and this makes the news since its the starting QB back in his hometown. Wonder if he was with Arkansas players?

Sally’s cracks me up, so many underage kids, with that same Police Officer that played at Michigan outside every night.

Going hard may piss off the QB and/or discourage future top recruits from considering here.

slap on the wrist, you make him do community service or something, you move on. this doesn't need to be any bigger of a story. happens to tons of kids across the US. i have never heard of someone being kicked off a team due to getting a minor regardless of their role. Drugs or a DUI or something, sure.
