All Things Players Coming and Going (26-27 Off-Season)

No smoke on Roed (C) and Hall (W)...

So need two forwards including at least one center that can win face offs. Ideally two centers, though.

Murr officially in the portal.

Also says Hall is in the portal but not coming to MN, I think that’s the right choice as we have too many wings. Interested to see who else we go after

Loftus (SCSU) is in the portal. Hadn't heard anything that he'd be coming here, but just of note

Great minds think alike I see @cheeseburgerphil26 lol

This shows why Motzko was fired. Look how easily a roster can be overhauled.
tbh i think bob grossly misread his talent last year, but was pretty transparent the blowup needed to happen (said on pods, interviews, and quoted in numerous articles). Just that it may be easier with an outside person.

He always talked about leaving the program better than he found it. But he left it in a state where it had to be completely blown up including the pipeline.

Say what you want about the state of things, but portal day is dang fun

If you're not Mankato
sounds like Mankato expected he wasn't going to be back either way. Sounds like Murr personally called numerous people to tell them he was leaving as well. Stand up guy

Interesting that Clark goes into the portal and is immediately “no contact”.

Gophers should have a strong team next year. That is one nice thing about the portal, you can rebuild and not just be ass for a few years while you wait for the next crop or two of recruits.

Will Skahan (BC; played with a bunch of our NTDP guys) in the portal

Dylan Compton and Caeden Harrington to Wisco. Neither real flashy on paper

B10 with really no surprises other than that Cade Christenson is leaving PSU as well. Was another of their few guys who was well plus in the plus minus

I'd guess it'll be this going into next year
Michigan
MSU
UMN/PSU (PSU can jump with big NIL pickups)
uw
OSU/ND

They will overrate uw based on the run they made.

Filip Nordberg - D, 6’5” 195 and a 2nd round NHL draft pick leaving Merrimack. Maybe Larson can make it happen with his Swedish connections.

We already have our huge D man that isn't the best at hockey. Not sure we need another one (Skahan, Nordberg).

Remember Smith will be coming. D is mostly locked in. Murr and Smith will play 25+ a night.

McLaughlin SCSU lol and Gruba probably will too and maybe Falloon and Rud

SCSU is like our own little college minor league team lol. In seriousness, I feel bad for their fans. That place as a whole has just gone way downhill and I’d be nervous about the future of the college itself.

Nick Oliver is a good coach though at least.

Town is an absolute dump and a lost cause.

I really like that potential pairing. Veteran who’s great in all situations paired with a 20 yr old freshman who has the opportunity to provide some real offense from the back end right away.
