Did anybody catch Trevor Winter on KFAN yesterday, he talked with Paul Allen. They covered a lot of ground. Paul threw him a lot of softball questions. He talked about the process of Nolan choosing Wisc. and what went into his choice. I thought it was a good explanation. Trevor's wife is a former Gopher volleyball player but neither tried to influence Nolan's decision. He did talk about how hard it was to wear Wisconsin gear the first few times but he was supporting his kid's team. How hard did the Gophers recruit him?
I dislike Nolan a little less now.

I’m sure he’s very busy following his son. Being the parent of a college athlete is practically a part time job if they prioritize being at most or all of the games. I wouldn’t read anything into his relationship to the U by his recent absence.

Correct and Coffey''s daughter played at Northwestern. Basketball and volleyball teams have about 13-15 sports or 3-4 a year and fit is more important than legacy.

I can't fault any kid for going to Northwestern, even offspring of Gopher stars.

In addition to Nia Coffey, Sanjay Lumpkin (son of Sean/stepson of Jim Pete) had nice run for the Wildcats.
