The sting of losing a 1 point game in OT still lingers, but no time to sulk. The Red Menace awaits. And somewhere Marcus Fuller is disappointed he no longer covers the Gophers so he can write his annual "Former MN HS players now playing for wisconsin."

We must never forget Nolan Winter blew kisses to the Gopher student section. We must never forget Carrington traded his maroon and gold for red and white (albeit with a pitstop in between).

wisconsin is coming off one of the biggest upsets in CBB this year. They are playing great. We cannot let them open a lead and get their visiting fans who need to live in MN for better quality of life an opportunity to get loud.

WE MUST DEFEND OUR HOME COURT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

GET 'ER DONE MEDVED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"and get their visiting fans who need to live in MN for better quality of life"

Pure art. Well done.

I left last game frustrated we lost but excited long term. We played fairly poorly against a good team and honestly should have won. We have bounced back fairly well in these situations this year. Let's take it out on the skunks and beat those clowns! I'm sick and tired of losing to Iowa in football and Wisconsin in basketball!

I watched Wis lose comfortably to TCU in San Diego, and the Badgers did not look good. TCU made some 3's and the super annoying TCU point guard (a good thing) was then constantly splitting defenders toward the rim and Wis had no answer.

Asuma/Reynolds needs to do the same. Get through and either go to rim or dish either way, get fouled and MN spends the night at the FT line.

As an aside, I wore a MN Gophers sweatshirt in my 5th row seats, was shown on jumbotron for literally 20 sec. while being booed resoundingly by all the Wis fans--the loudest they were all game. I knew what I was doing with my kids there, and it made my weekend.

Was the annoying PG former Hawkeye Brock Harding?

A bit of trivia, Wisconsin does not border Canada.
Somebody was nice enough to put a map in the thread too. I did not realize that about WI. Crazy...
How do you make it a bar bet without being obvious the answer is Wisconsin?
10 US states border Canada by land...name them is nearly impossible to get right...ha
3 more US states border Canada by water only...name them...
Only one of the 10 by land states also borders by water.
So, 13 US states border Canada and news to me Wisconsin is not one of them...cool trivia.
Longest international border in the world.

The flaw in this question is that Wisconsin’s not a real state anyway. If anyone knows where I can buy Grandpa Simpson’s 49-star flag, LMK.

If there is a good time to catch Wisconsin this might be it. Our guys should be pissed off coming off the USC game and Wisconsin will be riding high after their big upset and could be in for a let-down game.

A home win over Wisconsin would definitely remove some of the bad taste from the way the USC game played out.

Lunardi just dropped a bracketology. Has 11 big ten teams in:

1. Mich
2. Purdue
3. Illinois, Nebraska
4. MSU
8. Iowa
10. Indiana, Wisconsin, USC
11. OSU
12. UCLA

Gophs in the 8 - 12 range in BT. Based upon rankings in various big ten media.

hopefully the Badgers have a let down after their MI win

Go Gophers!!!

Counting Michigan as an only-water state is a bit misleading - short bridges over rivers in at least 3 spots that I know of (Detroit, Port Huron, and Sault Ste. Marie) - can't do that in either OH or PA. And there are border waters in at least NY and MN, if not more.

Another trivia question you can use in a bar sometime - how many provinces border a Great Lake?

I was 1 high on my guess!
