PJ has raised the floor of our program. I think we all are anxiously hoping he can get us to our ceiling at some point.I’m sure none of us are doing backflips over how this season went but it says something about this program that we’re all somewhat disappointed in an 8 win season where we won the axe.
What is the ceiling?PJ has raised the floor of our program. I think we all are anxiously hoping he can get us to our ceiling at some point.
I’d say 2019 is about it. But that’s just my opinion. What is the ceiling?
I think they could have another 10-2 with fleck. Not sure they can do better than that or notI’d say 2019 is about it. But that’s just my opinion.
We lucked out with next year’s schedule. If we’re going to have a repeat of 2019 this coming season is going to be the year all things consideredWhat is the ceiling?
Yep agree. Would be very tough to do better than that. But it shows real progress overall when there’s lots of bitching after another 8 win season.I think they could have another 10-2 with fleck. Not sure they can do better than that or not
I would have to look againWe lucked out with next year’s schedule. If we’re going to have a repeat of 2019 this coming season is going to be the year all things considered
When’s the last time PJ and his squad have pulled a big upset?Yep agree. Would be very tough to do better than that. But it shows real progress overall when there’s lots of bitching after another 8 win season.
It's hard not to say the Playoff or at least in contention. If we get a good conference schedule draw like IU did last year or A&M this year there's no reason we can't win 10 games and sneak in.What is the ceiling?
USC last year? When’s the last time PJ and his squad have pulled a big upset?
We get Michigan, Penn State and Indiana and dodge Ohio State, Oregon, USC. Based on the turbulent states of Michigan and Penn State and uncertainty around IU’s long term success (though i’m sure they will still be good) it is a golden opportunity where there’s no chalked up preseason loss.I would have to look again
I remember 26 being manageable
27 being brutal
And 28 being manageable last time I looked.
I don’t eitherIt's hard not to say the Playoff or at least in contention. If we get a good conference schedule draw like IU did last year or A&M this year there's no reason we can't win 10 games and sneak in.
Indiana was the worst P4 football in the history of the sport and has made back to back playoff appearances and is the 1 seed. I know NIL has been a factor but I don't see any reason why Minnesota can't make the CFP.
Minnesota was a 7 point dog vs ranked Nebraska in OctoberUSC last year?
That record with one of the wins being Wisc or IA. I think that would be a bubble team for 12 team playoffs, definitely in if 16 teams.I think they could have another 10-2 with fleck. Not sure they can do better than that or not
Nope. USC was our equal last year.USC last year?
Most years yes. That record with one of the wins being Wisc or IA. I think that would be a bubble team for 12 team playoffs, definitely in if 16 teams.
I’m not talking about the spread. I’m talking about beating somebody we really shouldn’t have Penn State or Ohio State or Michigan or Oregon or anybody like that. I don’t think it’s happened.Minnesota was a 7 point dog vs ranked Nebraska in October
Nebraska this year we were like touchdown underdogsNope. USC was our equal last year.
When’s the last time PJ and his squad have pulled a big upset?
Using this logic it is impossible to have an upset because by beating them it means it wasn’t an upsetNope. USC was our equal last year.
LolI’m not talking about the spread. I’m talking about beating somebody we really shouldn’t have Penn State or Ohio State or Michigan or Oregon or anybody like that. I don’t think it’s happened.
Penn State?I’m not talking about the spread. I’m talking about beating somebody we really shouldn’t have Penn State or Ohio State or Michigan or Oregon or anybody like that. I don’t think it’s happened.
We were eight and a half or nine point underdogs. But you can just make up whatever qualifications you want to make your point.Nope. USC was our equal last year.
Probably...would Irish have made it in if they were in the B1G this year? Most years yes.
Sometimes they could be Vanderbilt schedule
I think an SEC or big 10 team with two or fewer losses makes it 90% of the time
When you’re talking to a guy who says point spreads don’t count as upsets if you win because it means you were as goodWe were eight and a half or nine point underdogs. But you can just make up whatever qualifications you want to make your point.
