SC shot out of their arse.. so the second half should be better
Thank you. There was no realistic hire that would have checked your boxes. Lots of us thought Ben was a disaster when he was hired, but most still gave him until at least late in year 2 before giving up.
Trying to victory lap multiple times in the 7 games is just being a troll. Niko has a proven resume. He might not work out. No one knows that yet, not even you.
First of all, multiple coaches at multiple levels prove every year it doesnt take years to assemble a respectable roster. It seems you wanted an instant fix of a car that had been entirely dismantled and left for dead on a rural dirt road. That is never going to happen at Minnesota. You can keep complaining, but understand you sound like an old man yelling at clouds.
Smartest person on these boardsEvery month that goes by, I am getting more and more convinced the problem isn't Pitino or Johnson, the problem is The University of Minnesota.
No they won't. Painter always takes mercy in the 2nd half.Purdue will/could score 200 points.
I am not.I think it's time for you to cancel your season tickets. You are a season ticket holder, right?
Tonight is brutal. Chicago State and Green Bay were brutal. Last night and USF were at least watchable. I assume the first two B1G games will be hard to watch. But come January hopefully we have Willis/Viohola and Omot and can see what this was intended to be. I'm sure we'll still lose plenty but I don't think it's this bleak.Thank you.
This team will be better by later in the season or I'll eat my hat. Medved will have this program in solid shape before too long, but it's not going to come together overnight.
DirecTV took the game off the 6 screen multi-channel but Gopher volleyball is on it. Sad.The second-half TV audience might be less than the in-person attendance.
Thanks for asking. Yes, we do. Season ticket holders since 1990. Lifetime members of UMAA. Active in our colleges' alumni boards. NIL donors.I am not.
I don't live close enough, or I would.
I do spend money to support this athletic department though. Do you?
This is the nasty rub we face as a program. If we lack the necessary NIL budget to be competitive, how do we keep the quality players around?Medved not only will need to figure out a way to recruit talented players that fit his system but also keep them around for 3 years.
Minnesota isn’t the type of school with the NIL budget to turnover 6 or more guys on the roster every year.
Nope. They continue to make everything...SC shot out of their arse.. so the second half should be better
They are being allocated ~$6 million from the revenue sharing. It's not where I'm sure Indiana/MSU etc are but it's probably on part with the majority of the B1G.This is the nasty rub we face as a program. Medved is going to have to rebuild every year and if our 2025-26 roster is indicative of the talent he can afford to bring in, it really doesn't matter how well Nico can coach.
That's a problem that isn't going away...and neither is our place near the cellar of the B1G standings.

We have a lot more NIL than Santa Clara- yet Santa Clara has a lot more talent on the floor. We will need cash but Niko is going to have to find the right guys as well. This is the nasty rub we face as a program. I'm going to say that many nascent programs would love to be us. 50,000 enrollment and that many more alumni than practically any institution, so an enviable pool of potential donors. Being in a large city can be a disadvantage, but we've also seen the advantages in our time. This has been the toughest ticket in town and the talk of the town at its best. You'll never dissuade me of the potential of this situation. To me, some people's unconditional pessimism is wholly illogical. This is the nasty rub we face as a program. Kai Shinholster has been hustling when he's been in. Playing hard. Hasn't made any shots but it'll come. But yes, overall this is giving me kidney stones. SC is currently throwing beachballs into the ocean from NBA range.Man, I am trying to find any green shoots of growth, but this is a challenge
