Your second to last sentence says it all. I recall seeing guys from Iowa and Wisconsin in the NFL and was like who, only to realize they weren't a star player in college. It's great to see the depth of Gophers making plays in the NFL now. Speaks volumes to the talent and development.

I do not recall seeing this many gophers with legitimate opportunities to make an NFL team! How many gophers are on NFL rosters? Has any coach had more make it then PJ? I know one of you GH wonks will know these #s. Can't recall Kills, can think of many from Mason, Brewster no idea!?

Looks like 6 Gophers from last year made a roster spot. 3 as UDFA. I am guessing a handful will be making it as practice squad players as well. This is such an impressive accomplishment.

Wow 7 former DB's on NFL rosters, quite impressive. Nice to see 3 former TE's making NFL teams considering the Gophers have never really focused on that group in the Passing Offense.

I wouldn't say never, but it is kind of a here and there type thing with TE. Certainly Ben Utecht, Matt Spaeth, Maxx Williams and Brevyn Spann-Ford all played important roles.

Knowing he was able to carve out an NFL career for a few years as a TE, I wonder if MarQueis Gray could have had a better impact if he had been used there more consistently. Though a lot of players during that era weren't utilized to the best of their ability.

I agree with this and without question the first three you mentioned were a blast to watch. It just seems recently with the blocking heavy roles we ask of our TE's it is good to see them making NFL rosters.

As I am a Raiders season ticket holder, I can definitely say Cody Lindenberg did not make the roster for Oak. He did however make the roster for Las Vegas.
 

How does 22 on 53 man rosters compare with previous years? I assume someone keeps track historically?
