All Things 2025 NCAA Tournament Games Thread

Looked like it to me but I'm not sure they call it anymore unless it's 5 steps.
Functionally only travels are when making a move from a stationary position on the perimeter and big guys changing pivot foot near the basket. Almost never on a move towards the basket.

It will be interesting to see how quick announcement is made with portal opening tomorrow and how many players come with him and who else is able to fulfill the roster. Rah!
Leaks tomorrow. Announce on Tuesday. Maybe tomorrow afternoon with presser on Tuesday morning.

Yeah, I agree with this. On the replay, it looked like a travel to me as well but this isn’t one of those the refs shouldn’t decide the game type of plays to me. This is the kind of thing that players get away with all game long. They probably wouldn’t call that at any other point of the game either. So if anything, it was even more amplified because of the situation because people are looking for it.

I’m sure they were plenty of other plays where the refs made mistakes that were much more important to this game actually. Like Clifford looking at a guy and elbowing him in the head and then not even having that play reviewed

I don't understand how you don't double Queen on that play, let anyone else take that shot.
Tell me how you're going to do that when he catches at 20 feet and then goes straight left. No opportunity to double. Just a good set play for your best player. Gutsy to do it for a freshman big man, but that's why he'll be an early pick in the draft.

That's basically what Niko just said in the presser. They have too many threats, and there was no predicting what they'd do. You can't double everyone. It was excellent defense.

OK. Everything sucks and we'll always be terrible then?
I am not saying that; I am saying that the university has to do better. No matter who we bring in we will have problems if we don't improve.

Hasn’t been called in high level college ball for 20 years.
Yeah....definitely a travel by the letter of the law but not surprising it wasn't called because that kind of play is almost never called traveling anymore in college. In the NBA I'm not even sure you can get called for traveling anymore.....I mean I think it is still in the rule book but feels like you can pretty much just run with the ball and not get called in the NBA.

That's awfully general. Step one they need a new coach which they're getting. Step two they need more revenue sharing/NIL which they're working on. What specifically are they not doing at this moment that you want done differently?

ISU sure crapped the bed.....looked completely unprepared and uninterested---and most importantly royally screwed my bracket.

I haven't watched much ISU this year but the couple fans I know saw this coming the last month.

Queen's travel is a firestorm on the internet right now.

A lot of grumbling about Gilbert's injury... Sounds like he "opted out" to get ready for NBA draft and used injury as excuse. ISU team medical staff thought he should've been ready to go, but his dad said, "Not so fast sweetheart"

Awful if true but very believable.

South region is 2 BIG/SEC matchups. That has to be a really rare occurrence to have it work out like that.

Maybe not so rare somce almost 1/3 of the field is B1G and SEC teams 😄

This year for sure since BIG has at least 4 (not looking good for Oregon being a 5th as I type this) an the SEC has 7.

But in previous years I doubt that has happened often if ever.
