People were ripping in NBC for getting Illinois @ Purdue as a night game.
But those double headers are big time TV.

NBC gets:
6 notre dame
4 Michigan state
3 Ohio State
3 wisconsin
3 Iowa
2 Nebraska
2 Michigan
1 USC
1 penn state

Those are some big names

If only the sun rose in the west and politicians told the truth then the Gophers might be able to beat Iowa.

That 2:30 is a nice start time for encouraging Gopher fans to make the trip...get up, make the drive, tailgate lunch, get Floyd, get the goal-posts, let traffic die-down, nice drive home.

There were a LOT of Gopher fans there in 2019.

I am fine with the games being on NBC but not fine for games on that dreadful Peacock APP.

we get MSU here after they have a Saturday night home game vs Michigan...we get Purdue after they have a late game in Ann Arbor...we play in Columbus after they have the late game vs MSU in Columbus...we get WI here after Bucky has late game vs Nebby in Madison... a little argument that being done playing by 2 or 6 on Saturday gives you a little edge maybe in recovery, prep...

We may as well get used to it. I'm afraid the basketball team's going to get relegated there a lot.

Less visibility for Gopher Basketball may not be a bad thing given the current state of the program.
I don't think it can fall much further out of the local sports fan consciousness than it already is. I don't think relegating games to a place most can't watch them will make anything better.

The three ugliest dog games on the NBC 2023 schedule are all Notre Dame games - vs CMU, TN Tech, and Navy

Sparty has more quality football games on NBC this year than ND

I thought Peacock was Free, just a matter of being able to jump through the hoops (no pun intended) to watch the games.

Navy game is best week 0 game in the nation that week

Nope. It charges a monthly fee. I don't have it yet. But they will have B1G football, basketball and an NFL play-off game exclusively so I guess it will be a requirement. Sigh.

Peacock used to be free for Xfinity users but that changed recently.

I thought NBC was channel 11. What am I missing? What does Peacock have to do with this?

I am getting it Free now through Spectrum. I didn't realize it's just a "12 month trial" and that other providers have been already cutoff from being comped.

I'm good for this season currently, but likely will be in the same boat as Xfinity patrons in the fall of 2025.

It's like any other streaming service. I paid 20 bucks for a year through a special they were running so I could watch a Twins game a few weeks back.

I get that. However, if NBC is carrying the game, doesn't that mean KARE 11? Otherwise, it would say Peacock.
NBC yes. And all NBC games are also on Peacock. But some basketball games and I believe some football games will be Peacock only.

Yes, the Gopher/Hawkeyes game will be on KARE 11/NBC. Others (plus some hoops) may be Peacock only.
