To those calling to fire PJ, who would you hire in his place?

Give me a name that you think we could realistically hire that would be better. One wrong hire and we're back to the Brewster days. Nebraska is experiencing this right now and both Illinois and Purdue were there.

I understand the frustration about having not won against Iowa, but if we win against Wisconsin and win a bowl game we'll have another 9 win season. I know PJ was supposed to elevate us, but right now, the wrong hire will send us back to the cellar of the Big Ten and I don't want to be there.

So I ask again, who would you hire specifically? What coach would realistically come here and has a record that you think shows they could succeed and break the 8-9 win ceiling?

1. Fleck did elevate the program
2. What coach would realistically come here? I agree, it would be a tough sell.
3. 8-9 wins isn't so bad. We're at a point where most Saturdays we fans can watch thinking we can win. Not that we will, but that we can. That wasn't true for a long time.

Pay me first, I'm not doing the administration's job for free.

Urban Meyer
Jon Gruden
Deon Sanders

Someone big who can attract 5⭐️ & 4⭐️ recruits

Recruiting is key
Urban is a slime ball who wouldn’t come here.

Gruden will likely never coach again. Why would anyone consider him?

You like Sanders enough where you didn’t spell his name correctly and he also wouldn’t come here.

Urban is not coming here.

Gruden last recruited in 1991 when he was a WR coach at Pitt.

Prime Time isn't coming here.

Go Gophers!!

That’s exactly the issue, this program isn’t attractive enough to get big name coaches.

No big name coaches, no 4-5⭐️ recruits

You think Urban or Deion would realistically come here? I want want you are drinking...
Wouldn’t that be awesome if they would? Right? Imagine that?

I like Deion.

In his Netflix documentary, he did say he’d entertain bigger jobs than at JST.

Prime Time will definitely get hired at a P5 job, likely this offseason. It will absolutely not be in the Big Ten or ever at Minnesota.

Go Gophers!!

We all just Christmas wishing here….

We all stuck with good O PJ for awhile so not sure why we even wishing.

If this is what we always are going to be, throw some names in a hat, because it really doesn't matter.

This program is stagnant. It's boring as shit to watch. The forward pass hasn't existed here for two years, and I don't have much hope for next year.

I'm actually ready for the season to end, and I never usually feel that way.

Keep him, fire him........whatever!

Today is the first day since PJ was hired that the "new coach" wish has crept into my head. PJ is admittedly a very strong organizer, visionary, and good face for the program, but it's becoming apparent that he can be a total dumbass when it comes to game tactics. Being a dumbass in one game happens, especially against good competition. But when the dumbassery happens over and over against rivals in similar fashion, maybe the dumbassery is a trend?

We're all frustrated. I see that we have many posters on all the threads this afternoon that I don't recognize. Seems like they are only on here to criticize whenever possible. Much feeding the trolls today.

Fleck is our coach. We've seen threads where it took other name coaches a while to turn the program around. Furthermore, we were worried about our defense coming into this year. Well, I think they have done a pretty good job so far.

PJ has a >.600 record at Minnesota and makes like 4.2M per year in a talent desert with crap fan support, awful local media, and no money.

I'm currently watching UCLA play USC in prime time. Chip makes $5M per year and has a <.500 record at UCLA, a school with a vastly easier recruiting pitch surrounded by talent.

TAMU just won its fourth game today. They paid a national championship winning coach $10M per year and won't be bowl eligibile.

PJ's Gophers stomped on MSU this year. They pay their coach $9M per year.

Anyone that thinks Minnesota gets better after firing PJ probably doesn't have much going on upstairs. Wouldn't pay any attention to it.
