***OFFICIAL MINNESOTA AT ILLINOIS IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

I think it's fair to say that Morgan has taken a step back this year
He has got one NFL wideout instead of two and he is in a new offense.

he was going to be hard pressed to match the best season in gopher history from a QB

Morgan waited too long. He threw it when Bateman was open. Should've assumed Bateman would pull away when he was even. Either way, I don't like seeing Mo out there . No reason for it. Morgan and Bateman should sit too.

Games not over, we could sit Mo though.

Good throw into the Cover 2 hole. Horrible effort by Nubin on the tackle. That looked like the past 2 weeks, unfortunately. He's had a better day today and hopefully cnotinues improving...but that was brutal.

Well, let’s see if the D can hold up a 28 point 4th quarter lead. Last week’s 17 point lead wasn’t enough.

Nubin has struggled quite a bit.. Our safeties are dangerous because they both go 100 MPH and aren't always in control.

Nubin has looked better today but that was pretty brutal.

Silly. They did that last week too late in the game IIRC. Howard, CrAB, et al can handle it.
Or your best player at that position at the coaches discretion.

There is absolute no scientific evidence that KO are any more dangerous than any other play. None.

9 in the box there for Illinois. 8 on the last play. Would love to see Green throw a pass in those situations.

Nope.
Saquan Barkley returned kicks at penn state

Reggie Bush returned punts at USC

Personally, I was calling for him to be on the bench at the start of the 4th quarter...so seeing him on KO return was just salt in my wound. But hey, if we wanna give him 30+ carries, a couple targets, leave him in for pass pro on 3rd down, 4 or 5 kick out blocks in wildcat, and also have him return kicks...whatever.
