The season is upon us!
Howl Wolves!!
Howl Wolves!!
per STrib:
As for Culver, Teague said he sees why Culver earned a reputation for his work ethic at Texas Tech.
“He’s beaten me by 30 minutes every day,” Teague said. “For him to work that hard as a rookie, just being able to keep going — I’ve played with him a couple times, he’s a really special talent.”

Howl Wolves!!
I watched most of the (preseason) game last night against the Bucks, who will probably come out of the east. This is going to be a very long year. A longer year than I anticipated. Even given that it was preseason, Wiggins is more Wiggins than ever. This team can't shoot. I'll say it again, this team can't shoot. Culver looks like he might be a player, but he can't shoot. Vonleh and Bell look small for interior players. Layman didn't do much of anything. Napier was better than I thought. Okogie works hard, plays good defense and is out of control on offense. RoCo plays solid defense but he won't last long if he has to play a lot at the four. KAT is exemplary. Finally, how do they expect the team to buy into the new "culture" when so many of them are on one year deals?
At least they are trying to play pace and space.
Wiggins needs to work on his shooting. Teams straight up lay off him. If they dont respect your jumper, you cant do much else. Im no shooting coach, but it looks like he needs work on his mechanics consistency. He doesnt square up a ton.
I get your point about the culture. But there is literally a handful of players that need to care: Towns, Wigs (until they can trade him), Culver, Okogie, Nowell, and Reid.
Covington is getting traded.
They will spend the season doing their best to prop up Wiggins so a team like the Hornets will trade him.
The one year deals are to give them a look at those players, but more importantly, roster flexibility
This is Wig’s sixth year. If he hasn’t worked on his shooting, he’s not going to.
If only six of the fifteen players in the locker room are supposed to care about the culture then there is no culture and they should stop talking about it. (BTW, I think your number and the players you chose are about right.)
Not sure they trade RoCo. That contract gives them a lot of internal flexibility.
Wigs looks so passive (yes, preseason) that I can’t envision a greater fool than the wolves for at least two more years.
So many lousy players on one year deals may create such a bad environment that no one will want to come to the tundra. Roster flexibility only matters if you can get and keep players.

Wolves are going to be absolutely terrible this year. Towns and RoCo are all they have. Maybe Culver will be good in a another year. That's it. Wiggins seemingly has gotten worse from what I have seen this preseason (which isn't much). Tank city here we come.
Iceland12, good to see you posting again.
Let's hope our Gophers and Wolves give us something exciting to post about.
Howl Wolves!!
127-126 Wolves beat Nets in O.T.
Nice start to the season. Wiggins was... okay. Looks like Graham was NOT hot from the floor. Yikes!!
Nice to see them out of the gates at 1-0!
