Wow. Looks like bowl's back on the menu!

Eh. Lost my excitement for it.

Let the backpedaling begin.

Someone gave the players a little religion last night I am guessing.

I bet you Holiday Bowl might be a little thankful this happened. It adds another level of interest nationally this game didn't have before..

On another point, this is good for Claeys.

Before someone puts up a poll I will vote yes I am watching the bowl game. Go Gophers.

Pioneer Press says no bowl and Strib says yes to bowl right now.

Pioneer Press has one source that says they will play and one that says it is doubtful that the team will play. One way or another I guess we will find out in about 15 minutes. I am honestly not sure at this point what I hope they do but I guess in the end I would like to see the team play in the game. This is already a huge black eye for the program but backing out of a bowl game at this point would be a really crappy thing to do to all the fans that bought tickets and made travel plans to go to the game.

Strib says they are likely to back out of the bowl commitment

In a strange twist of karma, most will take enjoyment in watching our D-backs get raped vs. Wash St.'s passing attack.

I say this with every bit of sincerity in my body - **** you so very much for making this post.

If there is a 9 a.m. news conference by the players, I can't find it streaming on any of the usual sites (KSTP has had the most coverage).

Please don't say anything dumb at the press conference. Please don't say anything dumb at the press conference.

In watching for the press conference, they showed a video of the players walking back into the locker room after the first statement. Included in those walking back in uniform, #26 B. Smith Jr

ESPN is going to have something on the Gophers?

What a clown show. Hopefully Kaler and Coyle hold a presser in the next hour and say the bowl game is off.

Any publicity is good publicity I've heard. Now everybody knows that the University of Minnesota DOES in fact have a football team.

Gotta feel for the bulk of the team that has been caught up in a situation none of them are prepared to deal with as 18-22 year old kids. Backing out of the boycott was the right thing to do and I think they handled the statement pretty well. They just need to be prepared as a team to deal with this still being the major story leading up to the game and hopefully they are unified in how they respond to the inevitable questions that will be coming their way.

Why?? What was said???
