B1G Basketball Preview 2011-12: #2 Michigan State

The Spartans look to rebound after a disappointing year in which they lost 15 games. As the year began, it looked like Tom Izzo’s team and Ohio State would be in a battle for a Big Ten championship, but by the time March rolled around Michigan State was focused on just sneaking into the NCAA tournament. They made it, but instead of a familiar Final Four run, they were bounced out in the first (real) round.
