1. Michigan
Last Week: #1
J.J. McCarthy completed his first 13 passes and tossed two touchdowns to go along with Blake Corum’s three rushing touchdowns. The Wolverines are looking pretty good.
2. Penn State
Last Week: #2
Penn State rushes for over 300 yards over Delaware. Drew Allar looked good, completing 22 of 26 passes for 204 yards.
3. Ohio State Last Week: #3
When in doubt, just throw it to Marvin Harrison Jr. The junior caught seven passes for 160 yards and two touchdowns.
4. Iowa
Last Week: #5
Iowa reclaims the Cy-Hawk trophy over their in-state rival. The win gives Kirk Ferentz his 200th win as a Division I coach.
5. Minnesota
Last Week: #6
The Gophers ran for 293 yards against Eastern Michigan, led by true freshman Darius Taylor, who had 193 himself. Who was named Big Ten Freshman Player of the Week.
6. Maryland
Last Week: #8
The Terrapins were down 14-0 after the first quarter against Charlotte. They would go on and outscore them 38-6 for the rest of the game. Virginia comes to town next.
7. Michigan State
Last Week: #9
Good news: Michigan State is now 2-0 after defeating Richmond on Saturday. Bad news: Mel Tucker was suspended without pay and probably won’t be back as a coach due to being a subject in a harassment case.
8. Wisconsin
Last Week: #4
The Badgers lose to Washington State for the second straight year. Braelon Allen was held to 20 yards on seven carries.
9. Rutgers
Last Week: #10
The Scarlet Knights defense has only allowed 75 yards on the ground in the last two games. Rutgers hosts Virginia Tech next week.
10. Purdue
Last Week: #12
After a home loss to Fresno State, the Boilermakers leave Virginia Tech with a victory. Hudson Card throws for 248 yards.
11. Illinois
Last Week: #7
The Illini couldn’t overcome a poor first half against Kansas, which jumped out to a 28-7 lead heading into halftime. Illinois is now 1-1 heading into a tough home game against Penn State.
12. Indiana
Last Week: #13
Tayven Jackson completed 18 of 21 passes for 236 yards and added a 10-yard touchdown run in his first career start. The Hoosiers beat Indiana State 41-7.
13. Nebraska
Last Week: #11
Good News: The defense looked for two quarters Bad news: The offense looked horrible for four quarters.
14. Northwestern
Last Week: #14
The Wildcats rushed for 184 yards after only gaining 12 the week before against Rutgers. David Braun gets his first win.
