Gopher Football
The Gophers will be playing in a bowl game for the 3rd straight year and their 5th in six years. This time it will be the Music City bowl on December 31st at 11:00 a.m. The Gophers will be looking to win their 3rd bowl game in a row and to even their bowl record at 5-5.
The Gophers will be playing either Alabama (6-5) or Florida (7-4), both of the Southestern Conference. It is expected that Alabama will be the Gophers’ opponent, as Florida most likely will go to the Peach Bowl. An announcement could come as soon as today. The Gophers beat Arkansas 29-14 in the 2002 Music City Bowl.
The game will be televised live on ESPN.
