GH: You had a very good performance, but came up just a little bit short against DeLaSalle?. How do think that you played in the season opener?

RV: I think the first game went well. We played good defense. We shot the ball well and we just have to come to play hard the next game.

GH: There were quite a few coaches like Minnesota, Baylor and Iowa watching you play. Did you notice them?

RV: I noticed them. I saw Tubby and I saw the Baylor coach. That is all I saw, but I heard that there were going to be a lot of coaches here.

GH: What things have you been really working on to continue to improve yourself as a player?

RV: Conditioning and my handles, especially when I get pressure. I am continuing to work on my shooting.

GH: You had a good offensive game with 30 points, but what I thought was just as impressive was the defensive job you did when you guarding Reid Travis. Is that something you are taking pride in playing good defense?

RV: I went out there and wanted to guard Reid. He is strong, so I had to guard him. He is strong. He is a strong man. It felt good to guard him

GH: Are you two friends away from the court. Obviously, you are in the same Class of 2014 and are to of the better players in that class?

RV: We are friends, but we don’t really hang out. When we see each other, we say “What’s up?

GH: What are you hearing from the Gophers?

RV: They say just keep doing what I am doing and come to the Barn.

GH: Do you have a favorite school yet or is still too early?

RV: No, I’m just keeping my options open and liking everybody.
