Over the course of the college football season, the GopherHole.com writers will be engaging in an intense battle to see who is the most intelligent (or luckiest) football fan of the bunch. Each week we will give our predictions for each Big Ten game along with a few national games. To make things more interesting, a special guest will make his/her predictions each week as well, along with a member of
The Hole. We’ll be charting the results all season and come January we will know without a doubt who the smartest (or luckiest) person is.
This week’s celebrity guest is Ryan Domin, a member of the Gopher football team from 1998 to 2002. Ryan started out his Gopher career as a defensive end, but put on about 45 pounds by his Junior season and then was switched to tackle. Unfortunately, Domin wasn’t able to play very much his senior year because of persistent should problems. Domin says his best memories were just hanging out with the guys including Coach Sims, Dan Kwapinski, Darrell Reid and Brandon Harston. His best memory on the field was beating Wisconsin at the Dome in 2001. Ryan said there is no better feeling in the world than sprinting across the field and pushing Badgers out of the way to take back the axe.
