TCF Bank Stadium - Changing Gopher Athletics Forever
To the GopherHole Community –
In just over a month, the face of Gopher athletics will change forever. The impact that TCF Bank Stadium will bring to the Gophers will be unlike anything this athletic department has ever experienced. This impact is far greater than what a single recruit thinks of a new scoreboard, or how opposing teams will have to deal with weather elements as opposed to the predictable confines of the Dome. Rather, TCF Bank Stadium will change not only the face of the football program forever, but the entire athletic department will never be the same. TCF Bank Stadium will serve as the new center of campus, a new foundation for alumni interaction and school and community spirit will be fostered. Thousands of U graduates will leave school with new memories forged ON CAMPUS, and generations of orphaned U alum will gravitate back to relive the days of Memorial Stadium and develop new memories at TCF Bank Stadium.
The staff at GopherHole has spent countless hours over the summer capturing the impact that TCF Bank Stadium will have, and we have developed an in-depth series called “TCF Bank Stadium – Changing Gopher Athletics Forever.” Starting on August 13, GopherHole will publish at least one article per day examining the many facets that TCF Bank Stadium brings to the athletic department as well as articles getting you ready for the season.
These interviews and stories have been a labor of love in an examination of how the football program and athletic department have gotten to this point, and the endless possibilities that the future holds.
