When has the administration ever done that? You are making up nonsense.... They ALWAYS do that. They blew-up Haskins immediately after he made the Final Four. Monson never had a good team. But they suspended key players off of Tubby & Pitino's best teams.

You're correct that winning is not a goal of the U of MN administration. But they do still lie about it sometimes...like how Coyle says they don't have any money and would want a big $25M donor. They wouldn't use the $25M to help basketball. In fact, if Ben took $500K out of his own pocket...

Well yeah. We're now officially a farm-team to the big-paying schools. Just like small-conference schools are farm-teams to us.

We were 9-11. Not bottom-feeding. If you want to use spin...we were in contention for 3rd-place up until the last week. And greatly improving, with no seniors. All the other teams had seniors.

It wouldn't make sense to let 2 or 3 $500K+ guys leave...and then turn around and sign 1 $500K replacement.

His comment wasn't bad...compared to the Fountain Of Negativity this board is after every loss. But yeah it's surprisingly positive in here now during this off-season...in which we had the worst off-season in all of college basketball. Strange indeed.

As long as we bring in a lot of quantity every year....fans will have hope. For the fluidity, meshing, and playing together.

I'm 100% against colleges paying the students. But...instead of waiting until the dust settles... I'd strike while the iron is hot. For about $6M, we could have had a super-team. We could have added 3 of the best players in the country to our already good players. Buy a championship 1 time...

For free though. Or for a low price.

This is the problem. For Minnesota to win big, things have to align just right. Losing even 1 starter has often derailed us.

I think we should bring back Nate Mason, Jordan Murphy, Daniel Oturu, and some others...and have an older stronger team.
